CHOWLETTE (omlette with chow)

This is a very tasty and easy to make snack item.  All it takes is a few minutes of your time and a few ingredients, which are usually readily available at our kitchens.

Ingredients needed :

  • Curry or masala flavoured maggie - 1 packet
  • Eggs - 2
  • Onion -1 (thinly sliced)
  • Capsicum - 1 cup (small cubed-better if available multicoloured)
  • Oil- 1 Tablespoon

Method :

  • Boil the maggie for a few minutes and then drain out the water and keep it aside.Beat the eggs in a bowl. Add the maggie tastemaker to it. Now add sliced onion and cubed capsicums to it. Finally add the boiled maggie and mix well.
  • Heat 1 tbsp oil in a non stick frying pan. Pour this egg maggie mixture in it. Fry it over medium flame. After 3/4 minutes, carefully turn the whole thing over. Fry the other side too.
  • After 5 minutes, when the chowlette is done on both sides, switch the gas off and put the cake on a plate.

  • Cut it into diamond shaped pieces and serve hot with sauce of your choice. This is an extremely tasty snacks as I have mentioned before. You can use any other type of maggie too. But,to my taste, curry or masala flavour makes the best chowlette. :D
